Echofon Security Tip: always use SSL

If you are a user of Echofon twitter client on your iPhone or iPad, the most recent versions (as of this writing) include the ability to use encrypted connections to Twitter servers. However by default encryption is only used for authentication; once authenticated your actions are sent in the clear. While at first glance this may seen fine as your tweets are publicly viewable anyway, with tools like Firesheep freely available keeping your communications secure whenever possible is not just a best practice, is a requirement.
