An angel on the trail
Suburban hotel is a short walk away from a creek & trail.
In the almost 10 years of venturing to the Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs for vacations and extended weekends we never got around to taking the tram up to Mt San Jacinto. In winter months we didn't come equipped to trudge through snow we saw when we looked up - the trip to Palm Springs was an escape from that. So this August's visit provided the perfect time to get on the tram. The 45 degree drop in temps to a pleasant 69 degrees was also a welcomed diversion from the heat 2 miles below.
So with that story over comes several photos.
At one time escaping from a building meant doing that from the outside, not the inside. Just about everywhere you look in Downtown Chicago are examples of that.
Our peach tree bears very little fruit but does blossom nicely.
This week brings the opening of the apricot blossoms. So far this tree has borne just a handful of fruit each season. The abundant flowers hopefully point to a richer harvest this year.
