The Skype Endless Loop

Most of my Skype instances were set to login automatically so it's been awhile since a password was required. That day came yesterday and, of course, I couldn't figure out what it is. I tried the usual suspects but no-go. Next step was to reset my password from the Skype website. That didn't work as my account wasn't recognized. I went back into the Skype app that was set to auto-login and saw that there was no registered email address for my account. Of course, to enter a registered email address required entry of my password. Stuck. Today I have a new Skype account, the old account retired.
